For Toyota Dealers to sell and service hybrid vehicles, they must be certified. They must invest in training and tools to ensure vehicle performance and customer satisfaction.
Toyota Technicians must undertake extensive training on hybrid technology. In fact, just to qualify for the training - which includes rigorous safety training for the servicing of the hi-voltage batteries - they must already be accredited as either Pro or Master Technicians.
Once a technician is trained, a Toyota dealer is not a certified Hybrid Dealer until the dealership acquires the appropriate tools - essential for the proper servicing of hybrid vehicles.
From a minor lubrication to a major maintenance service, only technicians who have completed this high level of certification are permitted to service hybrid vehicles.
